Our friends at WakefieldSoft have released another software package for Palm OS and Windows Mobile handhelds.

AutoFile helps the user easily track fuel economy, mileage, trips, maintenance, and more for multiple vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, RVs). A paper logbook is now obsolete, since the user can conveniently organize information on their handheld or mobile device. The Plus version includes the ability to print reports and summaries, import and export data from Excel or CSV files, and the ability to graph data for any date range.

Consumers can often sell their used car for more money if they have complete maintenance records for the vehicle. Buyers like to know that a used car was taken care of. Maintenance records are easily entered and store in AutoFile. In addition, new car warranties require regular service to be done, and AutoFile keeps track of all of these vehicle related records with ease.

Track and control your budget more easily by using AutoFile to track the cost of fuel and services. Users can quickly print reports to show monthly amounts spent for fuel or maintenance, and then use theme to compare to your personal or business budgets.

For parents with several teenage drivers, knowing which vehicle needs what service is easy, rather than a headache. AutoFile tracks multiple vehicles, and displays reminders about what services are due based on the odometer or the date of the last service.

Business travelers can easily log their trip miles for IRS tax purposes. In addition, trips can be categorized by client, reason, destination, and category - all of which can be customized. Reports can be printed for any date range showing total miles, miles by category, and percentages by category. With AutoFile, users will save a lot of time doing expense reports or travel related paperwork.

Other useful features include:
  • Memos - store insurance info, accidents, club memberships, notes, etc.
  • Supports miles / km and gallons / liters - easily select units, currency, date format, etc.
  • Password Protection - optional password protection prevents other people from viewing your data.
  • Customizable Lists - define preferred vendors, categories, clients, destinations, and more.
  • Palm OS 5-way navigation button support
